The auto industry has forged ahead and greatly advanced... NOT ! ! !

I'd get another Pacer today, if I could find one. But not with all the new electronics and aluminum under the hood. Give me the old 235 or 258 six and everything else just like it was. Had an accident with one when another car pulled out in front of me. I had about $500 in damage, but that Plymouth Fury III was totalled. Got to see another Pacer rear-ended. The big Buick was also totalled, and the Pacer didn't even have broken glass. Never saw one hit from the side, though.

I'd love to see Pontiacs come back:

Grand Prix
Grand Am
Trans Am
Firebird
Bonneville

Pontiac made some of the most iconic muscle cars of the 60s, 70s, and 80s then some idiot thought the sports car division should sell minivans and SUVs.

Even in the 90s and 00s, Pontiac sedans were more sporty looking than the boring Chevys and Fords.

The only American make I liked was AMC between 1954 and 1964. Their cars were innovative, reliable, and had timeless styling.

Studebaker was not a bad company. I think their 1962-64 Gran Turismo Hawk was the best looking car ever.

Pontiac and Olds....that they are gone is a nightmare that I hope to wake from someday. I mean REAL Pontiacs and REAL Oldsmobiles - not the garbage that disgraced the names since the 80s. Nicest car I ever owned....

Google Image Result for http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/67/Oldsmobile_Cutlass_Salon_4th_generation.jpg

(Not my car or my site....just an image I found)

Maybe not a specific model but I wish that the companies would offer 2 door coupes (Fusion 2 door for example).

There were cars like the Grand Prix and Regal which were exclusively 2 door (well yes I know Grand Prix had 4 doors towards the end).

I've said this before in another thread-The 1980-85 Cadillac Seville.A design you either hated or loved.Unlike anything else at the time.Might really be nice with a reliable modern engine.maybe update the styling the way The New Beetle,Mustang and Thunderbird were.
