There are lots of them. Everything from a Ford Focus to a Hyundai Elantra.

There aren't many cars that average 30MPG aside from hybrids/diesels. Many cars are capable of that on the highway but your average mileage is going be less than unless you always drive on the highway.
Most of the gas cars listed, aside from the Metro, do not average 30MPG. The may be capable of it if you hyper mile or only drive on the freeway, but is that realistic?
I don't think I've ever seem less than 30 mpg in my Saturn SL2, in fact, I'm usually around the 36 to 38 mpg range in that thing. They stopped making them in either 02 or 03, though, but the bodies don't rust, and they're pretty easy to take care of yourself. I had a 96 SL (base model: no AC, no power steering, crank windows) that never saw less than 40 mpg--I kind of miss that one every now and then.
I have seen some very old Mercedes Benz cars, diesel powered 5-cylinder motors, that easily do 30 MPG on the open road. A coworker of mine has one of these big and old cars, and on the road it's very comfortable. I was amazed by how this car felt, and how good on fuel it is.
When I look at MPG figures, I find it best to take 10% off the EPA estimate.
The only car I ever drove that really seemed to get its EPA was a 2005 Kia Optima. That car could go, go go. One time I limped into the gas station, and the car had traveled 430 miles on one tank of gas. Now that's what I call good range!
