Seems to be that way. For one reason or another white folks seem to love Subaru's, Volvos, and pickup trucks. Blacks seem to love Cadillacs and the dogde/chrysler line of 300's and magnums. Jews seem to love mini vans and large luxury vehicles. Asians tend to stick with Japanese made vehicles. Latin people dont seem to have a specific type and will drive pretty much anything.
Your thoughts?
Ask any older white dude what a deuce and a quarter is, most wont have a clue. Then ask the black dude, all will have fond memories.
Deflection is a poor attempt to justify or excuse your bigoted remark.
It’s not bigoted at all. I hear black guys call themselves pimps around here frequently, and yes they typically like the flashy 24” rims on cars like the 300.
Alaska is only like 3% black, so I don’t expect you to know these things. It’s okay.
What are all the brothas gonna drive when they stop making the 300, Chargers and Challengers?
Seriously though, there’s no new modern gangster rides anymore. The 300 was it.
If you look at the appeal of big sedans especially among the AA crowd, they are designed and styled to be masculine looking, just like how a truck is a mans man vehicle of choice for most masculine men.
What I see in current automotive styling is very feminine designs that have hurt the appeal especially when it comes to sedans these days for the most manliest of men. Sorry but driving a Hyundai Elantra isn’t cute for a dude, for a woman, it’s perfect IMO.
Latinos drive all kinds of vehicles from imports to American for the most part at least in CA. Every Asian person I see on the road drive newer Japanese cars and CUV’S. But not Nissan for some strange reasons, it’s either Toyota, Honda and European vehicles with a sprinkle of Kia and Hyundai finally. They will never be caught dead being seeing in an American vehicle. Call it racist or whatever, I’ll never understand it but they straight up will not buy an American vehicles.
As for myself, im a half breed, and I love big cars. The funniest thing ever to witness upon parking somewhere like at a store, is when you see some really fat dude or someone super tall getting out of a tiny compact.
It’s like why!? Why would someone put themselves through that kind of torture. The struggle getting in and out of the car isn’t worth the savings at the gas station. The uncomfortable feeling of just driving the damn thing being crouched down most of the time is crazy to me and I’ll never understand why such big people put themselves through such discomfort .

Nissan works together with the French (Renault), I have heard that Nissan is not as realiable as the other Japanese brands like Toyota, Honda or Mazda. I have heard that in some sense Nissan is no true Japanese car, be it because they are not as reliable or because they use parts from Renault. I don't know though if Nissan offers the same engines in the US as they do in Europe.
Since when did the automotive forum turn into a race forum. That’s like saying different races live in different cities, or buy certain types of clothing who cares.
This 7-year-old thread is not about automotive issues and is therefore off-topic for this forum. It is now closed.
If you wish to discuss social or racial stereotypes, do so in the P&OC forum.
