People who have a burning need to fill every reasonably sized "gap" in freeway traffic instead of moving at a steady and more consistent speed.

A vehicle is stopped at a stop sign on a side street wanting to turn left. You are approaching from their right with your turn signal on wanting to turn on the street they are stopped at. Midway through your turn they move forward decreasing the clearance you had allowed for when starting the turn.

It has happened to me several times.

When there's a "no left turns during this time" sign but people still hold up traffic during rush hour to turn.

Driving tends to make us a bit more irritable and impatient than normal. Here's a list of a few things that I hate when I'm driving:

People who drive faster than me. People who drive slower than me.

People who don't use their turn signal. People who don't realize their turn signal is still blinking.

People who run red lights. People who stop at yellow lights.

Pot holes. Lane closure while road workers fix pot holes.

Men in big trucks, women in minivans, old people in big cars, teenagers in little cars (or anything else for that matter), and anyone in an SUV.

Ah yes! Now I get it. That is very annoying to me too.

I used to be a major road-rager, but while attending a "relax taiso" (like yoga meets tai-chi) class, the instructor said something that really stuck with me - "If you encounter one or two idiots on the road, you're just in the Bay Area. But if everyone on the road is an idiot, it may be YOU who needs to relax."

This is kind of hard to explain, but here goes:

We have a lot of five-lane roads (two lanes each way, with a turn lane in the middle). Most of us know that if you need to turn left out of regular traffic, you get into the left lane, then into the middle lane, where you then wait for a gap in traffic to allow you to cross both of the opposite-direction lanes and get into whatever place you want to be in on the other side of the street. But it seems around here, a lot of people don't have this concept down. Instead, they stop in the left lane (signal optional) and wait for that gap that will allow them to drive across that turn lane as well as both lanes of opposing traffic to get to their destination. It's as if that turn lane in the middle has no purpose to them whatsoever. I keep getting stuck behind these morons, and it caused an accident outside a store where I worked.

We had that kind of laneage (just made up that word myself, lol) when I lived in Tahoe, and referred to it as the "oh s--- lane." Luckily most people understood the concept up there, but many locals used it as an actual driving lane when traffic was heavy - particularly on touristy weekends/holidays. I never did that personally, I swear!!

Background-2 lanes heading north, two lanes heading south, center turning lane. Driver wishes to turn left onto this road when exiting a business. Problem is this is a very busy road and it's the worst time of the day. Why turn left? Turn right and turn left at the next light.

While stopped in traffic for an hour this evening, I witnessed another really annoying habit... when people are desperate to get in the left (non-carpool) lane, often blocking two lanes in their attempts, while it's bumper-to-bumper conditions. We're all going the same speed, buddy - ZERO - so it really doesn't matter if you're in the "fast" lane right now.
