Maybe I should refer to an incident back in 1944 that I recall or better yet a subject matter closer at hand like two weeks ago that people can relate too.

Was thinking the same thing. The last street race I witnessed was a '70 Chevelle with a 468 and a bunch of spray against an '87 Grand National with big inch Duttweiler V6. The GN was giving the Chevelle 5 and the leave. This went down at about 4am on Outer drive in downtown Detroit. Crazy stuff seeing a blacked out Chevy dually and matching enclosed trailer pulling out of an alley in the ghetto then dropping out a badass GN. The GN ended up smoking the Chevelle...it was awesome seeing the GN just about drag the right rear bumper on the pavement and pass the Chevelle by the time he pulled second. That is what happens when you sucker a 10 second car with an 8 second one.
This was probably early 2000's
