My suggestion then is to make it as family friendly as possible because of the location. Have a kids' menu with Teryaki bowls, but also have chicken nuggets as an option. I drive by that shopping center every day on the way home going North on Parmer.

Unfortunately, it's North of 620 so that kills any happy hour crowds that work in North Austin, but don't live up there. Will you have call-in/take out options? To-Go meals would be nice to pick up on the way home. The reason that a lot of us live around there or North of there is because we have kids and that limits our happy-hour stops on the way home from work. If it's good and family friendly, then you will get families from Brushy Creek, Avery Ranch, and even people further North. It will be hard to attract people that live South of Anderson Mill in my opinion.

If I were you, I would stop by Bellini's on Parmer North of your location and check it out. I'd also try to meet with the owner to see if they would be nice enough to pass along any information as a fellow small business owner. They've been dealing with what you're about to undertake in this area for a couple years now. It's not Asian food, but I imagine you could gain some valuable information. Good luck and I'll be sure to try it out if my two kids under the age of 5 can be accommodated there.

Aside from Saturday and Sunday, that shopping center seems dead. I wouldn't think it would be an ideal location.

The only exception is Taco Bell, but that is for commuters who are picking up something quick and cheap on their way home during the week.
