Sucks. Sucks worse when school is in session.

Looks like you'd be using McNeil to get to Parmer. From there to 78754 won't be smooth sailing, but it's not terrible. I sometimes take Parmer when I need to get to Metric Blvd and as long as you stay in the center lane, it's not too bad. I just don't know what it's like crossing I-35. I know you lose a lane right there at N Lamar so I imagine it would be a little backed up going across 35, but I don't have first hand experience. Have you looked at a traffic map during those hours to see which areas are red and yellow?

The traffic on Parmer once crossing over 35 is pretty non existent at that point. During rush hour most people are using Parmer to get onto 35, not to continue East. If you are continuing straight across you can sail through the light in the middle lanes. The left turn lanes to go north onto 35 get pretty backed up.

Yes, Parmer turn into 2 lanes but the speed limit increases to 60 or 65 and you're going against traffic.
