Hi everyone,

I am a 20-something female looking for a 1 bedroom apartment in a nice, safe community for less than $800/month in the Vinings area. Is this possible? I like the Vinings area and I never feel unsafe at night. But, if not Vinings, are there other parts of the Atlanta area that are convenient to midtown that might be good to check out?

Also, any opinions on whether to rent from a private landlord as opposed to a big company?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Try Gables Vinings, or there are a couple off Cumberland Pkwy that I'm unsure of their name - I think like Vinings Walk or Ivy Walk or something along those lines. There are several in a row on Cumberland headed west after the Home Depot. I like the Gables location better though.

I used to live in the Village at Lake park off of Cobb parkway and I enjoyed it, and felt it was safe. Just be prepared for loud music being blared from cars at all times of the night. I was there for 5 years and for the first 3 years it was great then for some reason people felt like it was ok to have concerts in the parking lot at all hours of the night and alot of the times the gate wouldn't work and they boast the fact that they have 6 car washes but they were always broken, or atleast they were for the last 2 years I was there. But those are just minor gripes I suppose. I have friends that live in Post Spring and they love it. They have codes to get into their apartment buildings and I think it's mainly singles that live there.
Also they have a pretty nice bar/restaurant inside the community.

Check out Vinings Corner. It's at the corner of Paces Ferry and South Atlanta Road. I live in a 875 sq. ft. apartment and the rent is only $626.00 a month. Plus you can't beat the location. If you are interested and have anymore questions about the apartment just direct message me.

I have checked out Walton River which seemed okay. I'm going to see The Park at Vinings this weekend. I'm also considering Calibre Brooke. Does anyone have any thoughts on these apartments?

I live at in the Park at Vinings and have no complaints what so ever. Although, I have only been here about a year. Apartments are great for the money - I have a two bedroom, 2 bath with a fireplace and I absolutely love it. I feel safe here being a 31 year old single mom. Its a nice community.

My only issue is the bugs, I never had these HUGE bugs in Jersey....but from what I have been told, its a GA thing - I don't have many, and they come spray when ever I ask...

Its a nice wooded community, lots of privacy if you want it, but also lots of community activities if you want to meet new people.

If you want to know more, just ask!

The perimiter mall area would be good...new construction, tons of shopping/restaurants, subway system to midtown.
