Okay. It doesn't surprise me that there would be more gays in those other cities based off of numbers, because those are larger cities that you named. The population of those cities is larger in general. But based off percentage of population that is LGBT, it is possible that Atlanta has those cities beat.

I'm a SBF thinking about relocating to the Atlanta, GA area. I've been reading some of the threads on this forum and other places online and I have a trip planned to ATL next month.

I've heard elsewhere and read on this forum that there are a lot of places where the Black, gay community and the Black hip hop community hang out.

But what about the Black professional community? Where do these people live and socialize? TIA

Go to ANY club/bar/etc. in Atlanta and it's usually 5% professional. The rest is college brats and old pathetic trolls.

Most professionals who are educated live in the suburbs where their children can walk around without body armor.

No problem. BTW, The professional blacks live mostly on the southside of Atlanta:

Southside:

Fayette County (Fayetteville)- This is where Evander Holyfield and other professional athletes reside.

S. Fulton County (Cascade and Camp Creek areas)- many black wealthy families reside in these areas. Doctors, lawyers and more can be found here.

Henry County (Stockbridge)- this area attracts many black professionals as well. T.I and Tiny reside in this area along with doctors, lawyers and other black professionals.

East of Atlanta:

DeKalb County (Lithonia and Stone Mountain areas)- Many middleclass to upper middle class professionals reside in this area.

Northeast of Atlanta:

Gwinnett County (Suwanee and Duluth areas)- these areas are more integrated with professionals from all walks of life including black professionals.

Okay...the fact is that most intelligent folks don't feel a need to segregate themselves. No offense.

Sometimes you have to segregate yourself depending on Cultural things you like to do.. We see this
everyday.. If someone wants to be around a certain race thats fine. There isnt a rule book saying I have to be around Asians koreans etc... The person may not have anything against the other race, he or she may feel more comfortable and they probably relate more to African american culture.... Im like that ill go party with a diverse crowd of people but I spend more time around african american culture, because I relate better with them..
