You'll be so excited to move to Yuma. Then after you get there and settled in, you're gonna say "what in the heck did I do to deserve this"!

Bob Bose Bell, a onetime popular AZ humorist (don't know if he's still writing,) once said of Yuma, "If you live there, you need a sense of Yuma."

Also, "Yuma - where nightlife is just a memory..."

I've visited there once - it will last me the rest of my life!

I'm thinking about Laughlin - at least there's entertainment and good restaurants.

I've driven by many times, of course, but yet to get the urge to get off the freeway. Strangely enough, Yuma had a housing bubble going, too. Wonder what's going on now... I'm watching the housing market recently. It must be flying under the radar. Either it's doing well (doubtful) or everybody forgot about it. Prescott and Flagstaff still get a mention, so it's not a matter of size...

Come on, I know Yuma isn't La Jolla, but it also isn't Crenshaw Blvd. Reality is it has it's pros and cons. You just need to see if what you consider important to you and your family can be found in Yuma.
Good Luck

I like Yuma a heck of a lot more than Laughlin.

One thing that people sometimes are not aware of is there are precious few non alcohol/gambling related activities in the Bullhead/Laughlin area.

Yuma actually has some decent shopping, etc.

Yuma has a heck of a lot more going on than laughlin(my favorite weekend getaway).

and house prices is worst in laughlin than in Yuma.

Yuma has a minor league baseball team, called Yuma Scorpions.
Yuma has a lot of big stores like Mervins,JC Penny,Khols,Marshalls,Bed,bath and beyond,Sears,Lowes,Home Depot,Sports Authority,Big 5,Sams Club,Toyrs r us,barnes and noble,etc

Car dealerships like Ford L/M,Chevrolet,GMC,Hyundai,Nissan,Toyota,Kia,Dodge/Jeep,Cadillac etc

Restaurants such as red lobster, olive garden, chilis,Dennys,Ihop, etc

and two casinos Cocopah and Paradise which have concerts and events on a regular basis and an upcoming sports arena where a hockey team will play in the near future.

Laughlin has...............well,casinos,a tiny mall and an in and out burger joint.

yeah,it was a horrible 102 this weekend.

So horrrible that I had one of the best weekends Ive ever had. That includes the 15 years I spent in San Diego.

I mean, this weekend was lots and lots and lots of fun yes even in skin melting 102 degrees.

I did so many things its unreal and to top it off,I concluded my weekend with a great sunset. At the river enjoying life.

thats whats great about Yuma.
From the freeway you dont get to see nothing.I mean NOTHING.

the beauty of this place is hidden from people just passing by.

BTW,
I bought my house for 228K 2 years ago and its now worth close to 260K
How is that for flying under the radar?
