California’s $15 Minimum Wage Ends Apparel Industry Revival

Quote:
The first accomplishment of California’s pioneering $15 minimum wage law is killing the revival of America’s clothing industry.

American Apparel, which provided 10 percent of all apparel manufacturing jobs in Los Angeles, has terminated 500 employees in the last two weeks. Chief Executive Paula Schneider also told the Los Angeles Times that “manufacturing of more complicated pieces, such as jeans, could soon be outsourced to a third-party company.”

For me, the worst part of driving to Arizona is having to go through so much of California.

Many parts of Southern California are very bland and depressing looking aside from the areas that touch the ocean. I drive from LA to Phoenix many times and year and I can attest to this fact. Once I cross the colorado river into the Arizona section of the drive, the scenery becomes less bland, and I'm not just saying that because I'm originally from Arizona. I also have driven from Phoenix too San Diego many times a year and same goes for that drive. Southern Arizona has some extremely beautiful areas, you might just be either blind to them or unwilling to look for them.

the rock formation in Arizona's mountains is too sharp and rocky. Not really hilly or sloped. The mountains around Phoenix always stay brown and look like endless fields of sand.

You are absolutely correct and should never ever visit. As a matter of fact, everyone should just pack up and leave due to the sharp, rocky fields of sand all over the state.

A good question to ask is what California was like when it was a Republican state.
