That's old, bro, 2017 data. You ignored my more recent article showing ABQ was not in the top 20 in 2018.

The following are raw numbers (not per-capita.) I am unable to find 2018 data for other cities that were high in vehicle theft the previous year. It's possible Albuquerque was still top of the list in 2018.

AUTO BURGLARY FOR TWO YEARS
2017:12,999 (First 6 months: 6,559)
2018: 9,218 (First 6 months: 4,523)
Change: -29% (First 6 months: -31%)
AUTO THEFT FOR TWO YEARS
2017: 7,692 (First 6 months: 3,633)
2018: 5,341 (First 6 months: 3,061)
Change: -31 (First 6 months: -15.7 %)

I sold the title to my stolen car to State Farm Friday. I'm buying a similar model today, one year newer, for $600 less so at least I'm not having to shell out any money. That Club stays on all the time now.

Yeah, if you don't have a garage I'd use that Club exclusively, man. I hope everything goes well with the new acquisition.

Lots of people who do have garages don't even use them for their cars.

I sure use mine down here in Alamogordo. It has the little clicker that you put on your sunvisor. It acts up sometimes, it's the one made by Sears. I put it in there every night - and I own a 2011 Kia Soul 5-speed stick. I'm not gonna mess around.

Hi Elko. I bought a new bicycle 3 days ago. I figure after 30 years it's time for a new one. Today I'm getting it insured for $60 a year. If it gets stolen for any reason including stolen at gunpoint I get the money I paid for it.

Nice choice. Be careful riding it on Albuquerque streets. And I say that with no ill will towards Albuquerque. If I'd ride carefully here in Alamogordo, I'd really be careful there!

The City of Albuquerque has more than 400 miles of bike paths and trails... A lot of good places to ride...

Here I always wear my helmet and I often look over my shoulder when I'm in the bike lane. Bike lanes are a little scary when you're closer to traffic in the bike lane than you are on the far right. I don't let it deter me though. Too enjoyable being out in the open and on the trails on the bike.
