Do not buy any land in Alaska without walking on it and talking to people in the area about it unless you have money to burn and don't care if you waste it. You will most likely be wasting your money if you buy land without walking on it. There is some good land near Anderson but there is also a lot of swamp and permafrost.

To the OP...maybe think about getting a better plan in place. Moving to AK isn't some unreachable goal, but there aren't any jobs in Anderson, and it's too far for a daily commute to FBs. Concentrate on finding work first and then build your move around that unless you have private income. Best of luck to you.
