How do I attach a file to a direct message?

When you go to write a post, click on advanced mode at the bottom, then look for "Attach Files".

I thing Poncho was thinking of a regular post. If I am not mistaken, you cannot attach a file to a direct message. You can post pictures though.

There are a variety of file types you can attach...

What type of file?

Valid files with the following (Legit) extensions are suppose to work:

bmp, gif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, psd, txt and zip

My misunderstanding/error, you can attach those the a post, but not to a DM (A Direct Message)
