Error When Trying To "Attach Files" To A Post Or To My Album

I’m having trouble with attaching a clip to a post now. It has worked well in the past but for some reason something has changed. After placing text in the post I want to add a picture. I find that every file I attempt to upload fails. It tells me the upload is not a valid file. An example of the file name uploaded is test.jpg and when the upload is completed it says test.jpg: is not a valid file. It appears that every file upload ends with the .jpg: and the colon was not part of any of the files that were uploaded. Somewhere the colon is added to the file, and I can’t find anything that I’m doing wrong here. Is there some new glitch in that has started with the system there?

Happened to me earlier today... in this exact forum.
I gave up attaching

I have no problems posting a photograph. There are several ways of doing it...

You can not post just the file name. You must post a valid URL such as

FILENAME: 5055341017_6d7e9ecc59_b.jpg

FULL URL: http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4088/5...7e9ecc59_b.jpg

If you post the full URL, you should be able to click on it and see the picture.

If that works, then you can surround the full url with [IMG]full_url[/IMG]

Attaching a photo to the post is different...

But I really do not know exactly what you are doing.

You are linking to a URL of an image already on the interwebs

We are trying to use the forums Attachment feature where the image is uploaded to your servers.

Type a reply... make sure in Advanced Mode (not quick reply)
Below the editing window is an "Additional Options" window
Within there is functionality to "Attach Files / Manage Attachments"

Give it a whirl... let us know

Says "Invalid File" on jpegs that have uploaded without any problems in the past.

No, posting a photo in a response is not the same thing as uploading a photo into an album.
