Usually when you see a little food truck shoved to the side of a tourist shop on your way to the beach you don't think much of it. Lucky for me I happened to be sitting in the car in the right spot just long enough to smell the cooking meat and read the various things offered, it was the breakfast sandwiches and pulled pork nachos that caught my interest.

It ended up being the best bbq I've had in years, far surpassing the other BBQ I've tried thus far on Chincoteague. The woman running the joint was a delight to talk to and extremely helpful, bringing out paper towels and a proper knife when she realized my family was eating there at the picnic tables. The various things we got were ribs, pulled pork nachos, sandwiches, and a hot dog. Everything was absolutely delicious and I plan on eating at Holy Smoke every time I come to Chincoteague from now on!

Pros: delicious food, delicious sides, delightful company, the meat is cooking in the smoker right there so you know it is proper bbq, not to mention plenty of napkins and Purell right there for you to clean up with, central location on the island on Maddox close to most things on the island. The owners also hold events and raffles.

Cons: it is outside, perfect for nice weather but a bummer if the weather is bad and you can't take it back to someplace indoors to eat
