2. Kids Together Playground At Marla Dorrel Park

City: Cary, NC
Category: Tours & Attractions
Address: 111 Thurston Dr.

Description: The centerpiece of this park inspires its nickname, the “Dragon Park.” A giant, multi-piece dragon sculpture seems to poke out of the ground, inviting children to climb aboard. Climbing structures, water and sand areas, playhouses, picnic shelters, and a fenced area for preschoolers cover the rest of the two-acre park. The playground is cleverly set amid the trees and shrubs to foster children’s interaction with the natural environment. Much of the playground equipment is accessible to children with physical impairments.
