No grades or quizzes, but you have to be at least 55 years old to participate. Topics range from “The Cincinnati Story: Toni Morrison’s Beloved” to “Riverboat Boom: Big Cities, Little Burgs.” Costs are generally in the $300 to $400 range, but that includes meals.

The Edgewood campus offers coursework in medical office technology, pharmacy technology, practical nursing, and medical assisting. The Highland Heights campus offers courses in diesel technology, electrical technology, industrial electronics technology, printing, desktop publishing/electronic prepress, art/graphic design, and art/production art.

Description: For 30-plus years Great Oaks has offered programs to enhance workplace skills. Four campuses (Diamond Oaks in Dent, Laurel Oaks in Wilmington, Live Oaks in Milford, and Scarlet Oaks in Sharonville) offer vocational training for 35 affiliated school districts and serve high school juniors and seniors from 40 high schools. Approximately 70,000 adults also receive vocational training each year. Great Oaks provides training in 50 vocational programs, including aviation, carpentry, air-conditioning repair, computers, and food service. The Sharonville Scarlet Oaks campus also offers a Center for Employment Resources and a Corporate Technology Conference Center.
