The executive chef presents lordly traditional fare, great for special occasions. Follow with seven-layer Valrhona chocolate cake or Meyer lemon chiffon cake.The Greenbriar is in the country but only 6.5 miles north of Boulder and about 45 minutes from Estes Park. Description: Most recently the Fancy Moose, this sun-filled restaurant at the Harvest House Hotel has changed its name and changed its menu. Still offering a New York strip, braised lamb, and a smoked rack of pork, with sweet potato fries, there’s more emphasis on seafood, including salmon and lobster with fresh vegetables. Lunch is a smaller version of the dinner menu plus sandwiches and burgers, and there’s a breakfast buffet. Enjoy your meal inside, or dine on the heated outdoor terrace by the waterfall. The chai (tea with spices and sweetened milk) is delicious. Service is impeccably polite. The staff loves kids, although the leisurely pace here can make the meal a bit long for the youngest tykes.
