Description: Marie’s is open through lunch (a hearty Middle European one at that), but it is at breakfast that this cafe really shines. Pancakes, eggs, and huge pastries abound. None of the regulars, who include medical professionals from the nearby Boulder Community Hospital and assorted medical groups and support services, seem shy about slathering on the butter or piling on the jam. Maybe they know where to get help if they need it! The atmosphere is luncheonette-basic, with bright lights for perusing the morning paper, and suitably efficient service.
