How's everything going in the state now? I came back from a trip last month and it seems like the numbers have gone up since. I was planning on a quick run to an outdoor area in a few weeks, which I'm not worried about, but I will need lodging so that puts me in an indoor space. Any reason for the recent uptick - kids in school, people back to work?

It's not more dramatic than other states with a similarly low vaccination rate. Wear a KN95 mask when in common areas of the hotel, open the window when you get to your room, and eat outside. Problem solved.

Pretty much what I did before, although in warmer weather

Yes, I do see similar numbers in other nearby states. Just surprised at WV numbers since it's more of a rural state.

Default Vaccine card question

My mother lives in Weirton, I found her a place for her vaccines and she got her booster at Kroger - she never received the regular CDC vaccine card. I had mailed her a holder for it but she has a "blue card" from the first two and a piece of paper from Kroger - what is up with that?

See if she is in the database.

About 200 million people in the U.S. likely have access to a Covid-19 digital vaccination card, whether they realize it or not. While use of a SMART Health Card is voluntary, it has become a reliable proof of vaccination across the country as more states and companies sign on.
About 80% of vaccinated people in the U.S. most likely have access to it.

My question was if anyone got the actual CDC card that we all (I hope) know what looks like.

Everyone I know got the CDC card. I'd suggest you stop at a local health department and ask if then can issue one for you.

Thank you for the response - she live 300 plus miles away and is elderly - Weirton doesn't seem to have a lot of services

You could call that Kroger and make general inquiry.
