I hear Canada is having one of its worst fire seasons on record already. We've got smoke now too in Vancouver WA from an Oregon fire. Looks like its time to buckle for fire season.

We have smoke too. It was 50 degrees, hazy and the sun was orange this morning. The sliver moon was a beautiful reddish color last night from the smoke. We have some of the better air quality though at just unhealthy for sensitive groups and isn't that bad compared to some areas.

The weekend was very smoky. I had such a bad coughing fit that I think I cracked a rib.

Yes this smoke sucks.
I’m getting like an upper respiratory cough thing.
The worst part is my eyes are irritated.

The air is much better this morning. It's 50 degrees- I needed a hoodie and it is expected to top out in the low 70s. It feels like fall.

Do you have some local fires out there on the Olympic Penninsula? Sounds like it's worse there.

I don’t know of any. I know there was a large fire near Spokane, clear across the state, I think the fire in the Cascades is still burning & Hwy 20 is still closed. Then there’s Oregon & Canada. It’s much better today as the wind is back & it’s on the cool side, thank goodness. When the wind dies down here the smoke from everywhere collects & air gets stagnant real quick. What a difference a week, or even a day makes here!

The smoke has cleared quite a bit.
I think it originated in Canada.
I don’t think we broke 70 degrees today.
It was cold enough today that my wife had to wear a hoody at her work station and the dogs picked sunny spots to lay down at.

Chilly sweatshirt weather here too in the morning, but it warms up into the 70s and the clouds clear later in the afternoon. North Puget Sound mainland.

We are receiving a nice light rain.
It is supposed to last for another hour or so.
Our yard is loving this.
I’ll gladly take a week or two of this .
