It has begun to snow down here in Rochester also. SO far, small flakes, but we'll see....

It's snowing in Bremerton. We've been having large soap flakes for a while now. The roads look good, but that's because so many people are driving around. I'm going to be one of them. I still need to pick up a few things at the store that I missed on Wednesday. I just washed my hair, so I'm sitting here waiting for it to dry before I go out. Roads should be good for another hour or so with all the traffic that's on them.

Local storm advisory (Seattle/Tacoma area) is for 24 hours, beginning at noon today. Snow began at noon plus 10 minutes. Coming down like it means business.

Sticking on the ground, but not yet on pavement.

It’s coming down fast and hard! I measured and now it’s nearly 18 inches! The snowflakes are the size of a quarter. My dog took a couple of loops around, then dove back inside.

Wow... that's high... Not sure I ever remember getting that much. 16 was our highest a few years ago... and that was a lot of snow.

I just got back from the store about 15 minutes ago. I called a friend in Poulsbo and she said the snow was coming down like crazy there. In Bremerton, it was practically raining. All the snow that fell this morning was gone.

So five minutes later I called her back and I had to tell her that just since we'd talked, the big flakes started falling again and we now have more snow in the last 5 minutes than we got all morning. And it's sticking.

We now have snow on the street, the streetlights (I'm on the third floor), all over the plants - we had none of that with this morning's snowfall.

And now I'm hearing our heaviest snow is going to fall from 3 to 7 pm tonight at a rate of about 2" per hour. This should be interesting.

We have gotten about 3” of new snow this afternoon, and the power just went off for a few seconds, twice.

Well, the snow is all fun and games, but I'd really rather not lose power.

It's looking very winter-wonderlandy on our lower property... Still coming down hard.

We put all our animals in early and are sipping warm beverages!
