Call it what you want, but modest blue collar homes and businesses are being replaced by million dollar McMansions and upscale businesses that cater to wealthier people moving in from elsewhere.

Washougal is indeed changing just like many other formerly blue collar towns in the region. It isn't on the same trajectory as Camas. But I expect the trends to continue as long as the greater Portland area continues to grow because Washougal is located in a convenient and attractive location with mountains and waterfront and easy access to Portland. And, unlike many other suburban areas around the region, Washougal has an actual downtown core with "good bones" which will continue to make it attractive for those who want to open restaurants, breweries, bakeries, shops, etc.

It’s not what I call it, it’s what the word means. I agree it will keep growing, like any other town close to a growing metro area. I think I finally see your point but it took until post 11! Haha.
