This is a constructive thread for all luxury/upscale shoppers who enjoy to see who's opening shops in Texas' best shopping cities Dallas & Houston. This is in no way a comparison or VS. thread, but a place for new developments or boutique announcements in these great cities. I will try my best to keep up with all the major announcements, but feel free to chime in when needed. The stores I am interested in are only in proper city limits so I will avoid the sprawling 'burbs.
PLEASE POST PICTURES! I LOVE TO SEE PICTURES

Are Karen Millen England & Dooney & Bourke be considered upscale? I don't see them listed for Galleria Dallas, but I know they aren't exactly inexpensive.

Then there's that odd lifestyle brand/upscale category that places like Juicy Couture, BCBG, Marciano, BCBGeneration, LF London, Nicole Kwon, Kendra Scott, etc fall into and should stores like that be listed?

Last time I was in Highland Village I saw that store and thought it looked similar to the one they just built in Dallas. Where is the Saturday store that was to open?

It's a great new store, and I guess it's a flagship because it has a vip suite, shoe salon, housewares, and the only other store besides NYC to carry the madison ave. collection.

The Saturday store is in Rice Village. I've not been there yet.

You didn't list the Nieman Marcus at The Shops at Willow Bend. It is actually mentioned in the Paper City article you posted: Neiman Marcus Willow Bend welcomes Dallas sculptor Jan Barboglio April 11, 2 – 4 pm, on Level 3. . . . This mall has literally come back from the dead as it is still listed as such within the dead malls website. As it has found a niche and a toe hold, one should expect it to once again attract more luxury shopping as the North Texas region continues to grow.

Also keep an eye on Lakewood. The Shopping centers and districts around Lakewood (Casa Linda and Lower Greenville for example) are getting lots of attention as it is expected that some of the shops and stores now within the Lakewood historic district are going to be pushed their direction as the luxury stores begin arriving as expected.

Here is a list of shopping stores and districts in the Dallas area which could attract luxury stores in the near future:

Highland Park Village
Northpark Center
Preston Center
Knox Street Shopping District
Lakewood
Galleria Dallas
Shops At Willow Bend
The Joule and Neiman Marcus downtown
The Crescent luxury hotel district
Turtle Creek Village Shopping Center

Noticed at NorthPark that Joe's Jeans and Solstice Sunglasses has closed to make way for Robert Graham. Armani Exchange appears to be downsizing that location and Tesla is taking up the rest of the previous space. I really think Joe's Jeans would do well in the West Village or Knox-Henderson, maybe we will see them again in another area of town at some point. I bought some of their jeans and they are really comfy.

Dallas certainly has one of the most fickle retail markets i've seen. Seems like as many stores that leave the market, just as many or more enter the market. I would be concerned with the state of the retail market if we had the losses and not the gains to pick up where the others left. I guess that keeps things fresh.

I do think it's time for NorthPark to seriously consider an expansion to add a second level to the original section. I know that they and Highland Park Village will buy out leases to put someone else in there. That's a sign that there's not enough retail space in the high demand shopping centers. A recent article said that retailers are on a list for years to get into the area. That's just silly to me.
