WPRI reports that this has been in the works for over a year (long before the bridge closure). It makes sense for the local developer and advocates to cite the bridge in community meetings during the planning and permitting phase since they're essentially making the case for why their project is an asset for their community in order to get the OK to proceed.
Stop! You're killing me with facts and common sense!
Because everybody knows they decided to open the store when the bridge went down and will close it when the bridge goes back up. /s

I don’t live on the East Side, yet I utilize the University Heights Whole Foods on occasion.
As for the Waterman St. location, there has been discussions for years about that store closing. It is a small store with limited offerings, and I would not be surprised if Whole Foods corporate closes it eventually. That possibility has been discussed for many years, even back when I frequented that store.
whole food is not a good store, we just lost one. the product are good, but very high price, so if you are not very wealthy, you would never step foot in one. its one of those $100 store, every time you go, another $100
Nobody has suggested that the Whole Foods store in Seekonk will be temporary (as sandsonik claimed).
I didn't claim it would be temporary. I was laughing at the idea that they are building one because the bridge went down - and if half of Barrington shops at Wayland, as was claimed, then their business would be severely impacted once the bridge is built
