I know 2 people who got their stimulus money today. Both of them used part of the money to buy something needed and useful -- new tires for their cars. I do hope people will be sensible with this money....

I left these fresh baked madeleines on our son’s kitchen table before anyone was up this morning, even their beagle didn’t hear me come in. Keeping the distance with a box of love from Grandma.

We donated half of our stimulus money to Manna Food Bank.

We are trying to prioritize what else to use it for that will best help the local economy.

There is great need in our area. We are doing well - not bored and we are fortunate to be able- to exercise and recreate at home on our property. Our hardest thing is not being with family and friends. Being retired our income has not changed.

This Spring is beautiful and belies the reality of this time.

I wish I could reach into that picture and take a couple to have with my cup of coffee this morning!

We got ours yesterday. It is going to my niece whose husband is in the last few days of his drawn out battle with cancer. It has really thrown a monkey wrench into their lives

I have given $100 donations to two social service agencies (local), local homeless shelter, and local animal shelter. Maybe one to the state food bank today, and the hospital.

Has anyone actually been tested or know someone who was tested for the virus? Nobody I know or talk to has been tested but around here you have to almost work at getting within six feet of another person (small population state).

JRR -- What a good thing to do. I am certain she will appreciate your generosity as she goes through these last few tough days, and then starts a new chapter in her life. I am so sorry for their suffering.

Snow tomorrow. Seven inches or more in the hills. Two to 4 here. Can’t recall if I put the shovels in the shed or not. Winter lasts through last week of April up here.

I've seen it go through mid May.
