Pope Benedict XVI assailed same-sex marriages as a danger to humanity on Monday in an apparent response to Portugal’s move to legalize same-sex marriage last week.
I actually consider the Pope and his army of pedophilial, genocidal, and AIDS propagating priests and nuns to be a "danger to humanity." How hypocritical of a man who operates one of the most persecutorial, dangerous, and death-wielding organizations in the world to consider anything a "danger to humanity" other than his own Church...

Why does this seem to me to be a fairly clear cut case of the pot calling the kettle black. To the best of my recollection, more people, by far, have been killed in religious wars than in any conflict over gender preference. I suspect it was the actions of various popes that caused the crusades. A much easier case could be made that christianity could be hazardous to the health of yourself and others. I also suspect that a helluva lot more people have died fighting for a religion than ever died fighting for gay rights.
Speaking of being out of touch, today Vatican criticized the movie Avatar also. Nature-worship & gays (who love each other getting married) - what is this world coming to.
