And this quote is not true, in actuality, there are no "orphans" in foxholes, because, when it is coming down hot and heavy, when fear takes over and claws at the back of your throat, everyone, (not an exaggeration) calls for their "Mother, Mama, Mom," It is as predictable as sunrise.

I would venture to guess that there are many atheists in foxholes in the armies of "godless" countries like Russia and China - probably screaming for mama

Actually, I do not think anybody ever attempted the experiment of burying an atheist into a fox den to see if he would spontaneously convert.

They were acting just like atheists, ducking and covering, shooting back; trying to save themselves. Never once did I see someone stop and pray for help. They use religion to get them through day to day, but when it hits the fan so to speak, they don’t take chances relying on god.”

And here’s a quote from Kurt Vonnegut’s novel Hocus Pocus:
“The sermon was based on what he claimed was a well-known fact, that there were no atheists in foxholes. I asked Jack what he thought of the sermon afterwards, and he said, ‘There’s a Chaplain who’s never visited the front.’”
