Without it you can never know God that's why rejecting it is such a great sin.The spirit promised by Christ after he rose to heaven he said he and the father would send the holy spirit to guild the faithful..It can be found in the Acts of the Apostles when the holy spirit first comes upon all the people in the house. It changes Peter drastically he is now bold and extremely faithful unlike how he was before he received the holy spirit you can see that in his letters.
Beat me to the punch.
Keeping it simple, there is God. There is human. Holy Spirit is spiritual insight from God onto human. As deriving from God, it is Holy.

The Holy Spirit is not "attached" to God. It IS God because it IS God's very essence and substance, i.e., His Spirit! Jesus is the human who brought God's essence to a HUMAN Spirit so we would have access to it permanently. Our Human Spirits only need "arms and legs, a head, and body" UNTIL we are "born again" as full Spirits upon our physical death. Spirits "born again" after death are called "Ghosts," which is why there is confusion about the terms. Our goal is to produce a Spirit that BECOMES as much like Jesus as possible.

That is why Jesus told us to love one another because God IS agape love. Everyone who loves knows God and His Holy Spirit "indwells" them. That is why we are to be "in Christ" (in the mind of Christ) as much as possible. When we die we ALL become Ghosts (Spirits) as Jesus did. His perfect Holy Ghost created a place for us all with God in Heaven. There is no supernatural nonsense about THREE "persons." God is Spirit and we will be "born again" Spirits with Him and Jesus as Jesus tried unsuccessfully to explain to Nicodemus.

Perhaps, “attached” was an incorrect description. This is from a message about the Holy Spirit:

“It is merely an energy of the soul of the Father, conveying His Love. The Spirit could have no existence without the Soul of the Father, and is entirely dependent upon the powers of that Soul for its existence, and only in the sense that it conveys God's Love, can it be called the Comforter.”

The Holy Spirit. What it is and How it Works

The Holy Ghost is the cosmic vibration.

All living beings, things and created planets live in the Holy Ghost. One can hear this cosmic vibration in meditation. It's called Aum (Om), Amen or The Word. But it's the same thing, just different names for it.

The holy cosmic sound can actually be heard/perceived in meditation. It comes from within. This sound is the witness of the manifested higher/divine presence in creation. In all creation.

Sometimes one can hear the Aum sound in wild nature, in silence. So not only in meditation. But the sound comes from within, and cannot be heard with the two ears. It's perceived in stillness. So one doesn't meditate that moment but sits in silence/stillness.

In terms of Christianity, the Holy Spirit (who is a Person) plays the same role Jesus did during His earthly ministry. When Jesus came to earth and was born, He was our physical teacher. He was with the disciples, teaching, guiding them, etc. Once Jesus' mission was completed, He physically went back to Heaven. The Holy Spirit then came in Jesus' place, and He is now our teacher from the spiritual perspective. So effectively Jesus represented the earthly ministry of God, while the Spirit represents the spiritual ministry. This is why Jesus told His disciples in saying it was good that He went away, because then He would send the Spirit to them. Essentially with the Holy Spirit, we can now fully understand the things Jesus taught us, and more things are being revealed.

In the OP, Kundalini was mentioned. I don't know much about Kundalini or Yoga, but from what I heard, Yoga is a spiritual practice concerning opening up the chakra pathways of your spine to allow this spirit to reach the crown of your head. From a Christian perspective, it sounds like possession. Its not a possession we invite. In terms of the Holy Spirit, being filled with Him is like possession as well, but not in a destructive way. Because the Holy Spirit is God. Being possessed by Him is an awesome thing, and allows us to truly do great things. Just like Jesus did. (Teaching, healing the sick, tearing down stronghold teachings that enslave folk, quieting storms, and whatever else God wants to accomplish. Literally bringing heaven to earth)

Good post. Even though I said the Holy Spirit is specifically Christian, what it represents can be found elsewhere, under different names or no name at all. For example, the native Indians of America discussing the Great Spirit mentioned what sound essentially the same as more contemporary descriptions. Optimally, one would leave behind religious descriptors, and start looking at grand and cosmic connections and commonalities. Nature is a great resource too.

You said "The Holy Spirit then came in Jesus' place, and He is now our teacher from the spiritual perspective."

Have you got something to back that statement up (like a New Testament quote), or did you just make it up, like most of the other things you say?

In the Gospel of John Jesus said, "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—"

The King James translate it as Comforter, but essentially Jesus told His disciples He would send someone similar to Himself. And it's through the Holy Spirit we are able to do the same works Jesus did.

Bestowal of the Spirit of Truth
194:0.1 (2059.1) ABOUT one o’clock, as the one hundred and twenty believers were engaged in prayer, they all became aware of a strange presence in the room. At the same time these disciples all became conscious of a new and profound sense of spiritual joy, security, and confidence. This new consciousness of spiritual strength was immediately followed by a strong urge to go out and publicly proclaim the gospel of the kingdom and the good news that Jesus had risen from the dead.

194:0.2 (2059.2) Peter stood up and declared that this must be the coming of the Spirit of Truth which the Master had promised them and proposed that they go to the temple and begin the proclamation of the good news committed to their hands. And they did just what Peter suggested.

Aum has a different name sometimes, it's also called:"The Great Comforter".

(I'm into ancient yoga, Rishis and sages).
