If you pray to God of Jesus than you most likely never seen Holy Spirit of God but a messenger Angel Host of the Lord , as there are many examples of Angels bring messages from God

I mean this with complete respect, but I think you're reading into an experience.
You don't need to join a denomination to be Christian, just believe Jesus died for your sins and turn your life over to him. If you saw something, it was likely a messenger (as another poster commented). The Holy Spirit is something that fills up your body once you truly accept Jesus as your Savior, and turn your life over to Him. Its a very unique feeling that will overcome your body, usually warm and tingly but the Holy Spirit is the living spirit of God in you and is a communication device and will provide you gifts.
