Ha! What's that about Californians!
I blame C-D for enticing me to post on the forum today... and this topic went straight to my soul.
As a few posters may already know, my belief is that God is eternal, our Creator (of our souls and physical bodies), and some of us deeply spiritual people consider Him to be our Heavenly Father (not Heavenly Mother).
I believe that our souls are created duplex (male and female) - one soul - in the Heavens. We are created in the image of God (invisible), but not the substance (God's Love). As souls, we have a consciousness of our existence, but that consciousness is removed when God determines when we should be born. When that occurs, the one soul (soulmates) separates and each soul moves independently above the earth until the condition becomes present for one of the souls to enter into a woman's womb. Both souls do not enter the same woman. It may be many years (sometimes ten) for the second soul to enter a different woman.
Our soul is encased in a spiritual body (unseen), inside our physical body. And because we each have a soul, in my humble opinion, we can consider ourselves spiritual beings having a temporary physical experience. The reason for this experience is for us to have individualized personalities and a body form for our future life in the next world.
Further, my belief is that at the point of death of the physical body, our soul encased in our spiritual body lifts up from our physical body and we "move" to the spirit world where we are "spirits" - as real as we were in our physical bodies. In my studies of the spirit world, I have learned and, believe this information wholeheartedly, that the spirit world is very similar to the earth. Except there is a hell - although not eternal - but that's a subject for another thread.
