Well, first of all, most of the "evidence" that I've seen is of a purely spiritual manner. In other words, the proof is not in the form of material, tangible, showy, or extravagant means. That's "man" stuff, and how the simple man operates. He needs flashy stuff in front of him before he'll budge, open his mind, and believe. So right off the bat, you've missed the point. Secondly, your "test" is much as the test given to Jesus by Mr. Enemy himself, during the 40 days in the wilderness. You can read up on that if you've got the guts to handle it. I'm not going to waste time repeating and regurgitating the text.
If you're in the mindset of not wanting to believe, and/or need a person or the universe to take the first move and hand you proof, you've again missed the boat. That's not how it's set up.
In the end, it is up to you (as with each individual) to prepare your heart and open your mind, and allow the chance to see and find proof. It's not up to others. You can be lazy and expect others to do the work for you, but it will never happen that way. That's why faith is such a huge aspect of it all. It's the ultimate spiritual mechanism that put such matters into motion. It's something many people avoid due to pride and/or stubbornness. You can never walk into that house and see what's in there if you refuse to open the d@mn door.
Basically you're saying we have to believe in Jesus purely on blind faith? Most of us, except for hardcore Christians fed this mush from the cradle, simply cannot do that. That's why Christianity is sinking like a stone in the US and Europe.

As far as belief, yep, that's the way it goes. You can demean faith by call it "blind" faith, and poisoning any chance of it doing good for yourself, but that's your choice and option.
The American Christian church is going down the sewer because of man's pride and man's control over his "church" and his audience. It's also due to bringing the stench of politics and division into church "kingdoms" (i.e. buildings) and whipping up anger and emotion, and getting people to be divisive, bigotted, and racist. But that is purely man's fault and man's doing.
The Christian scriptures will stand as they have been, and not be dragged down into the mud by modern man. It's not much different from the early documents of this country, and how they still stand, despite the decline of our society and nation. When things turn shytty, we don't look back at the original plans and sources and damn them. We look at what's changed since. But most people can't handle that reality; it's too real and too powerful. Then the blame is on us. People used to welcome and be able to handle that constructive criticism and perspective, but no more.

The church is going down the tubes because the Bible is absurd and has no bases in facts. People are starting to recognize these faiths as false same as all the others that have diminished. If your God is real, he should do a better job revealing himself.
