Ok, I remember reading somewhere in the scriptures that good people will have food to eat. This infers that bad people will starve. Do I think it's ethical or logical that a five year old could be evil enough to deserve to starve to death? No, but I'm only human so I'll admit that I make mistakes.

Since the end of roadkill isn't personally given to me, I'll accept that that prayer wouldn't work.

I remember reading that Bob Dylan prayed to be a better person. Come to think of it that's the only prayer that would logically be answered, according to all the verses about prayer. It's based on yourself, yet not selfish in the eyes of the divine. God states quite a few times he wants us to be good people.

So my question is what prayer of yours was answered?

And on top of that, what could a wicked five year old possibly do that would justify starving to death and then being tormented eternally? I've heard of kids setting their families on fire, but even that is a spit second horrible choice, probably the worst one that you could make. Even then, are you going to tell me that they deserve trillions of years of hell for it? I mean they're five, two years ago they were peeing themselves.

Was that directed towards everyone or just the apostles?
It's directed at those without the capability to recognize the con.

It's much more important for God to grant the prayers of a lotto player....over that of a starving/physically or emotionally abused child. It's all part of his "mysteriousness". It's like those misunderstood artist. We look at what they do in public shaking our heads in disbelief, but then go home throw on one of their albums or watch one of their movies; and forget all about their kookiness. So is it the same with the religious. They have to in order to stay a fan of the big man in the sky!

Every day I pray that I will live to see the next day. So far, my god has never failed me.

I was talking to Hiker45 on that part on my comment, sorry for the confusion. As an atheist, can you use the scientific method to explain why we understand what good and evil are? How do you rationally explain all this man-made junk we have, when it doesn't help us to survive?

As an atheist, how much time/money do you give to charity? Were you ever a theist? How much time/money did you give then?

The reason I ask is because I think our lifestyle plays a large role in our spirituality.

Is the power of prayer strong enough to regrow an amputated limb?

Atheists have exactly the same results without the ignorance of talking to imaginary friends. Why are you so terrified you won't wake up in the first place?

Oh yea, that's right. Christians spend their life focused on their death, I choose to focus on living.

God answers ALL prayers. Sometimes the answer is "no."

Then the bible is wrong when it say's "ask and you shall receive."

There's a whole host of scriptures that need to be rewritten to make it more clear that God will say no.

Because as it stand, praying to God is indistinguishable from praying to a gold fish. They both grant your prayers at exactly the same rate.
