True, but the majority of the world does believe in the Christian God the Father/Creator.
Muslims and Jews believe that God is ONE; not a trinity. To worship Jesus as God is considered to be idolatry. They (and the rest of the non-christian world) do not believe in the same version of God that Christians do). There is no need to distinguish "God the Father" from any other "god" if GOD is the only ONE.
Anyway, this is getting off track. The point being, based on the op which states that Christianity is the world's largest religion, is that the majority of the world does not believe in Christianity (because they do not believe that Jesus is God).

Not true. Muslims, Jews, & Christians all believe in the same God, that is the Creator. The fact that Christians believe Jesus was God in flesh doesn't change that fact.

While it is true all of us of the abrahamic faiths do worship the same God(swt) Christianity has added 2 attributes to him that the rest of us see as Idolatry. The Holy Spirit and Jesus(as). The Trinity is 3 seperate persons each with his own set of attributes, making them separate gods. Even with a hierarchy of power.
'Now one not even the Son knows the day or the hour"--Jesus(as) is not all knowing, seperate knowledge and not equal to the Father in terms of knowledgr.
"No man shall come to the Father, except through the Son"--- The father does not have the power to forgive. The son is more powerful in that aspect.
"The Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus"---Jesus(as) had to receive the Holy Spirit, The Holy Spirit has a gift Jesus(as) does not have.

Each unique, with different attributes. Three very distinct individuals.
One Consciousness described in three contexts: 1. as the universal field establishing our reality (God); 2. as residing in a human brain (Christ); and 3. its essential characteristics (Holy Spirit).

Quite probably that is what was intended. that would be 3 attributes of one God(swt). However, that is not backed up in the OT as you have the 3 interacting with each other. ie Jesus(as) prays to the Father. The Holy spirit descended upon Jesus(as) etc etc. Most Christians are in practice worshiping 3 different gods. Some Christians seem to favor one or the other over the other 2.

We are talking about communicating to primitive intellects, Wood. How else would you explain a non-existent concept as consciousness other than calling it the Holy Spirit descending into a human, Jesus. I agree that most Christians adopt a corrupted understanding from the ancient ignorance . . . but that does not absolve us after 2000+ years of advanced knowledge and understanding from correcting their mistakes.
This thread is old, but I would love to open this interesting thread again for discussion.
Christianity is growing rapidly in delevoping countries.
