I would suspect the agents are not getting the permission if they are posting.
Which would get them in BIG trouble in a non-disclosure state like Texas.

Sorry, as the OP I should have put Texas in the title of this thread so it wouldn't have been moved out of the Texas forums. I know this is no news to people in other states, but was surprising to see in Texas.

Totally agree. It's a TX issue, may be it should have been moved to the TX forum instead of Dallas or Real Estate.

I am battling 2 sales where I represented the buyers and the listing agent gave the sales price to Zillow. They removed the price but a week later it reappeared. Both sellers are furious about it and don't want the sales price posted.

No, we just value our privacy here in Texas. Shocking, I realize, in this "I want to know everything about everybody and it's my RIGHT and I'm ENTITLED to know everything about everybody" day and age, but it is, indeed, the case. If someone WANTS to disclose that information, it is their right to, but it's not anyone else's right to do so. Even the tax man can't demand to know it.

In the case mentioned, the agent who put that on there has put themselves and their broker in the position of looking at a complaint filed with TREC at the very least. Perhaps even a lawsuit, with Zillow (who is well aware of the non-disclosure status of Texas) and their deep pockets a potential co-defendant.

Hmmmmmm. Perhaps we should start messing with Zillow and inflate the home values back and forth.

Once you start to enter the address, Z auto-completes and pulls and fills from the MLS, or maybe the tax rolls. So, of course they miss terms and financial concessions.
