I'm thinking of a lake front property at Tuscany, however, lake front in New Hampshire is one thing, a nice swim, but lake front at Tuscany, could be a matter of life and death, any gators?
Some of the KB Homes had issues with defective drywall and there were some quality issues. I have not heard any complaints recently. They are not considered a high end construction company. They build a decent size home for the money and they add on with upgrades. Oak Harbour has green construction which significantly reduces your utility bills. Ask for references from KB Homes or at least speak to the neighbors. I recommend getting a home inspection even if you are buying new. It is better to find out the faults before moving in. Some people say you don't need a home inspection because you have the warranty, but that decision is up to you.

Yes, gators can be in any body of water here in FL. You cannot swim in the lake at Tuscany Isles.

How does late 50 and up mean no kids? I am 53 and have a 10 yr old. How boring to live with all old folks and no kids.

Most of florida is like this, I'm assuming the comment was made/meant to say late 50's and currently no young kids living at home. Many of us/people went thru the phase in life with kids running around, playing basketball and baseball in the street, kids running all around and want some peace and quiet now but love children. Not many people starting families in their 40's that I am aware of or lived by. I don't think that most of the older folks where we live are boring.

Don't know if this is the case in Fl, but I know up here the age restricted communities have to allow a certain amount of younger people or face discrimination suits.
