Like I said, not decided one way or another on this but let's at least be honest about the current situation.
He's not gagged from talking about his presidential run, his rallies, his policies, his plans, his agenda, his election opponents or anything related to the election or running for election. He's not banned from talking about any subject, his feelings, how he feels about the judge, or the case.
The gag order is *very* narrow. He can't attack, disparage, or threaten or allude to threatening trial witnesses, court staff, family of anyone in the case, people like that. That is a good policy and standard for someone with a "mob boss" mentality. It has nothing to do with the election. In fact, I believe this kind of gag order would be in place for him if he never ran for office. He's a thug, a bully, and likes to dog whistle his supporters, hoping to get them to take care of his grievances (in a violent manner). IMO.
New York Judge Juan Merchan has fined former President Donald Trump for repeatedly violating the gag order in the hush money trial.
Merchan also threatened incarceration if Trump willfully violates the gag order again, writing in his ruling, “THEREFORE, Defendant is hereby warned that the Court will not tolerate continued willful violations of its lawful orders and that if necessary and appropriate under the circumstances, it will impose an incarceratory punishment.”
Seems this judge isn't playing around. I'm sure Trump will dare the judge to lock him up and expect SS to protect him.

Keeping in mind Trump's pre-trial rants against the judge and his family, here's the exact text of the gag order:
ORDERED, that the Court's Order of March 26,2024, is amended as indicated below. Defendant is directed to refrain from:
Making or directing others to make public statements about known or
reasonably foreseeable witnesses concerning their potential
participation in the investigation of in this criminal proceeding;
Making or directing others to make public statements about (1) counsel
in the case other than the District Attorney, (2) members of the Court's
staff and the District Attorney's staff, or (3) the family members of any
counsel, staff members, the Court or the District Attorney, if those
statements are made with the intent to materially interfere with, or to
cause others to materially interfere with, counsel's or staff's work in
this criminal case, or with the knowledge that such interference is likely
to result; and
Making or directing others to make public statements about any
prospective juror or any juror in this criminal proceeding.
Please describe the statements that Stormy or Cohen are making that meet any of these criteria. It's not illegal to have an opinion on the case. Though, for the record, I think what both Stormy and Cohen are doing isn't particularly smart - they should both just shut up and wait for things to play out.

That's the way it is. When I was being destroyed, I was put on a gag order. They kept spreading lies and I would go to jail if I defended myself. Everyone else was okay with the arrangement.

It's all one-sided, unless the judge places the same gag order, with threats of fines and imprisonment for all the other witnesses too.
