New York Judge Juan Merchan has fined former President Donald Trump for repeatedly violating the gag order in the hush money trial.

Merchan also threatened incarceration if Trump willfully violates the gag order again, writing in his ruling, “THEREFORE, Defendant is hereby warned that the Court will not tolerate continued willful violations of its lawful orders and that if necessary and appropriate under the circumstances, it will impose an incarceratory punishment.”

Seems this judge isn't playing around. I'm sure Trump will dare the judge to lock him up and expect SS to protect him.

I hope he does it. Anyone who isn't a DNC bootlicker knows this trial is a farce. Throwing Trump in jail for defending himself from today's Salem witch trials will just result in a bigger margin of victory in November.

SS can take over the whole floor in a jail/prison...they can even take over the whole building if they choose to do so, and they can demand that the inmates are removed to different areas/floors/buildings.

I hope he does it, too. I'm sick of all the preferential treatment being given Trump. Time for him to be treated like any other private citizen.

Like Hunter for example?

Oh wait, if he were treated like a Biden or a Clinton, then he wouldn't be going through this.

This judge, like the other judges, is (partly-to-mostly) bluffing, IMO. I don't believe he'll put the ex-P in jail.

I don't even see how that works. How he can even be arrested and jailed while protected by SS since a ex president has never been incarcerated before. Might go to the SC to decide.

Seems to me that if Trump is so confident about winning this case, all he would have to do is sit quietly and let his attorneys represent him. All of his complaining, his continued violations of the Judge’s orders, etc. indicate he is far less certain about the outcome of this case. I look forward to reading about all of the testimony…I suspect that the case against him will be pretty solid. It will be tough to convict him though…he has deep support (and chance alone means some of the jury will likely be MAGAs), and he has virtually infinite resources to mount a defense.

He's taking orders from Biden, he'll lock Trump up if Biden tells him to.

Those gag orders are unconstitutional.
