Not sure but almost has to be a data dump type thing like on July 21st. You can see both of those down on number of cases chart.

Stay safe.

Even so cases are now over 2,000 a day. I guess as long as the hospitals can handle it we will manage I suppose.

I think the concern is that if the rural counties explode then OKC and Tulsa hospitals won't be able to pick up the slack. Something that is already happening in the Dakotas due to the fact that they really don't have any really large hospitals. We are probably two more weeks before this wave hits the hospitals and morgues. And this wave is likely to have more staying power.

Stillwater Regional Hospital sometimes takes in covid patients from out of town but not today. Its covid unit is full. Elsewhere in the hospital, only 8 medical beds are available and one ICU. People need to be more careful, especially older ones in poor health.

In Tulsa no ICU beds are available.

I do my part by staying out of restaurants during busy times. But that didn't work a couple of Fridays ago when I went to the Texas Roadhouse at 4:45 PM and already it was busy. Won't go there again on Friday. Did notice that they put up clear plastic partitions between booths. I hope that works to help prevent covid.

I am higher risk than average. So I am in no hurry to go to sit down restaurants.

That is concerning that covid beds are full. And the case numbers are just ramping up.

The problem is masks are already required in the bigger cities and many chain businesses. Only thing left would be a state mask mandate which probably won't change much. Other would be lock downs of perceived higher risk businesses which I do not want. Bars, Casinos, Restaurants, Beauty Salons, etc. But since this seems to be coming from all directions who is to say what is the main culprit. My guess is its spreading in schools. Kids are spreading it around not knowing they have it then spreading it from family to family. That is the one thing that has changed the past several weeks.
