People moved out of Youngstown to Canfield, Poland, Boardman and other surrounding districts because black people took over.

Question Who's Who in Ytown

Wow, all you experts shoulgd be on TV. I was born and raised in Y Town, graduated from YU and workd for FBI untill 1990 and you are all full of BS. You know this, you know that, hell you don't know where are balls are??????

Give it a rest, Youngstown died many years ago not because of the Mafia but the death of the steel mills. Nothing more, nothing less. As for Eddy D, where is he now, out to pasture in Tamap FL playing with his pud.

What a bunch of morons?????

Youngstown isn't dead, but there are signs of decline. Some streets that used to have lots of businesses aren't as lively as they once were and the city's population has decreased quite a bit.

That's kind of an understatement, don't you think? But you should also be aware of the signs of rejuvenation that have become more and more visible over the last 5-10 years.

youngstown is on life support. there has never been any real future since the mills closed. there has only been a string of opportunists who take advantage of the dreamers; the latest version involving blogging and forum posting being parlayed into a gift shop.

i live in one of twelve new apartments in the federal building. i ride the wrta to the suburbs to buy food, but only in my sunday's finest to serve as a good example for my fellow bus riders. when i get back home with my ingredients, i cook my own version of a briar hill pizza. after dinner, i skip dessert and go straight to work where i either practice my kickball technique or write letters to local politicians about vital topics of the day such as vinyl siding. finally, before i go to sleep i make a blog post or visit a message board. when i am asleep, i dream of steel production.
