I grew up in Lima, OH, a microcosm of their larger brethren.

Been to Dayton and Toledo enough times to know as much as I need to and my comment stands.

Youngstown is sort of like some of the suburbs of Chicago. Some areas you would not dare get out of your car and others where you would not mind living.

Ed O’Neill is one of the most well Youngstown natives and can easily pass as a Chicagoan, as he did as Al Bundy in Married with Children.

Toledo.
Akron has proximity to great parks and to Cleveland. I root for Akron but it's hard sometimes.

No offense, but probably not the most representative review as someone who bitterly left their hometown.

I live a couple blocks away from where Ed O'Neill lived on the north side.

I don't know enough about them to have an opinion on Akron Dayton or Toledo. Although I have seen a number of nice old houses for sale in Toledo's historic district, in an old house Facebook page I follow.

3 exemplars of rust belt decay IMO.

Hopefully they can turn it around but its like comparing which place is less shi---.

Toledo and Dayton have two of the hottest housing markets in the country. The Dayton area has shifted to growth in the last few years..tons happening in Dayton. A very underrated city/metro

And that's what I said in my original post. Metro Dayton is good, downtown Dayton is good, the city of Dayton sucks.
