Well looks like it’s as done deal. June 30th this tool will kick in.

Adios Manhattan. I didn’t miss you that much but now you can just **** yourself, along with everyone in it.

I've got the popcorn ready for the aftermath of this terrible idea.

Place your bets now on who the first corrupt idiot to get caught with their hand in the cookie jar will be.

I don’t anticipate ever returning to Manhattan unless work FORCES me too, and then I’ll likely be in a company vehicle.

City clearly states :

The program will:

Reduce traffic and travel time
Lead to safer streets and cleaner air
Reduce emissions
Improve quality of life

Can we sue if they fall through on all 4?

I'd like to propose that for every individual job title the MTA has- that an independent NYS auditor comes and records ones individual in each title an entire day in their work, chosen from a random day in a given month.

This transparency to the public benefit authority- will give the taxpaying residents of NYS more insight as to the possible waste and optimization the agency has.

Isn't it an amazing coincidence that the RFQ for the SAS Phase II hit the MTA C&D site just this week with Design-Build Qualifications due June 4 and this note at the bottom of the notice:

Quote:
NOTE- Respondents are advised that Award of this Contract is subject to funding availability, which requires the implementation of Congestion Pricing
