This is nothing.........with 11% unemployment by next spring home prices will keep falling.

Indeed.

There are too many other factors exerting downward pressure on prices.

I cannot see things improving in RE for years. Even if a true "bottom" is eventually reached it could take several years before prices even return to today's levels

And goodness only knows what sort of state the $US will be in by then.

A lot of states are now raising taxes. Massachusetts just added one billion in new taxes with talk of more to come NH has gone up on every fee in the state ! Many other states are also ready to tax billions more away from its citizens. It all starts tomorrw in many states as they enter a new fiscal year. We are starting to see major hotel defaults all over America. i believe we will be in worse shape next June than we are this June.
