Was it a siege of the hospitals, or the Hamas bunker systems under the hospitals. The existence of the latter made the attack necessary. It's Hamas' use of the it's own population as human shields that is the direct cause of the civilian deaths in Gaza.

Israel's actions have been condemned by our state dept and numerous other countries throughout Europe and the Middle East, and yet we continue to give them billions for their military every year. Any wonder that protestors are calling for divestment?

This is not true. Columbia has the potential to be the stone that dismantles Israeli apartheid, and that's why big donors and the military industrial complex are crappin' bricks.

Protesting is very useful when organized. Remember how the Canadian tuckers were protesting the vaccine mandate? Remember the January 6 rioters? Both groups were persecuted because the powers that be were afraid. They cannot stand the fact that the common peasant can actually rise up and fight back!

Getting back to Columbia's protestors - their statement in part reads, "The movements to divest from the prison industrial complex and Apartheid South Africa have shown us that divestment at Columbia is an effective way of ending our institutional complicity in global systems of oppression. In both movements, it was a coalition of activists on campus that courageously spoke truth to power and challenged our institution to maintain its principles of human dignity. Columbia University Apartheid Divest is inspired by this legacy."

So yeah, since their protests have worked before, their aim is to make it work again.

Morons funded by Soros and his ilk.

"Ari Remez, a spokesman for Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, said Open Society Foundations “has been generously supporting our work on defending the human rights of Palestinians under Israeli control for many years, and we are grateful for their immense contribution to this effort.”

The Soros family, Open Society Foundations, Tides, Adalah Justice Project and other pro-Palestinian groups that got Soros funding did not return messages."

"To understand which groups are organizing the protests and any potential ties to foreign groups, NBC News reviewed the tax filings and social media posts of the organizations behind the highest-profile demonstrations, as well as court filings, government reports and legislative hearings related to the pro-Palestinian movement in America.

What did emerge is a vast network that includes left-leaning, billion-dollar American philanthropies and collaboration with at least one foreign organization that Germany and Israel have banned for allegedly working with or supporting Hamas and another terrorist group.

“Individuals who previously worked for Hamas charities are now a driving force behind the large pro-Hamas demonstrations taking place in major cities across America,” said Schanzer, who is now senior vice president at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies."

The "other side" gets $600M/yr in US aid which is earmarked for humanitarian projects, health care, sanitation facilities, etc...a huge contrast to the $3B/yr which goes to Israel's defense budget.

The students don't have any real clout. Columbia's alumni donors are vastly more powerful to the university than the students. I bet not many of the former are telling them to divest from Israel investments.

Let the colleges divest and then increase the tuition to cover the loss of revenue from the divestment. Lets see how the students will feel then.

Not sure how much profitable investing in Gaza will be. Slingshots, rocks, and rubble really aren't too profitable.

Hats off to the brave youngsters who stand up against genocide and for humanity and justice!!! A big shout out to NYU faculty who come forward to stand together with their students….

Justice may be late but never absent….all those genocide supporters will be disappointed and despair when Netanyahu and his IDF will be stopped from continuing their genocide and brought to justice…!!!!
