already found liable, and didn’t shut his trap. Thats what did him in. His mouth. She had evidence. won’t be reduced cause the whole point of the high amount is to force him to take the justice system seriously
SDNY Judge Lewis Kaplan who infamously dismissed Prince Andrew's sexual assault claims made by one of Jeffery Epstein’s human trafficking victims—is the SAME judge that presided over E. Jean Carrol vs. Trump’s defamation case—as well as the now infamous SBF/FTX trial.
Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan was also appointed by Bill Clinton.
So when you hear complaints about corruption, one has to wonder.
The JOKE is . . .
Dollar bills are worthless . . .
But the award is denominated in DOLLARS (gold coin).
Trump could file an affidavit with the court, claiming that he does not own nor possess DOLLARS as stated in the judgment.
NO judge will ever rule that a dollar bill is a dollar. . . I know - I asked one judge and he demurred.
Since 1933 and the confiscation of lawful money by "saint" FDR, no dollars have been in circulation.
. . .
Would the court order liquidation of Orange Man's property to use in trade for real dollars?
(Hmmm. Could that many gold dollars be found? A one ounce gold coin - double eagle - has a face value of $20.)
Would that be grounds to void the judgment for fraud - and legal impossibility?
. . .
And could that same logic be applied to the Peoples Democratic Socialist Republics of America?
I'm confused by reports that Trump and his lawyer might get in trouble for continuing to claim that he is innocent.
Since when does a convicted person have to stop claiming their innocence? I've never heard that in over 20 years of being involved in the legal system, criminal or civil.
Setting politics aside, I'd love a legal explanation on this one. Death row inmates claim innocence until the needle bites decades later. What gives?
It's Trump. #1 enemy of the Deep State. Apparently the rules of law do not apply when one is rabidly desperate to neutralize/disappear an opponent. It makes no sense whatsoever, but for those in charge, who believe that the ends justify the means, with no sense of morality,,ethics or fair play, whatever they come up with is somehow justified.

This was the damages phase of the trial. The jury as a trier of fact had established that Trump had sexually assaulted Carroll. The defense attorney was not allowed to claim Trump was innocent during closing arguments, as the facts had already been established.

I have the same evidence that you raped my pet monkey that she had of Trump raping her, so expect to be hearing from my lawyer.
it is all BS.
shame on the jury and the judges.
*&M.
give me a freaking break.
our judicial system here is beyond sickening.
The left would agree with you except the left loves the judicial system when it is used to go after people they don’t like. Otherwise, the system is racist and they burn/vandalize courthouses across the country like in the Summer 2020 riots.

Me thinks:
The poor guy got pigeonholed for refusing to become a member of the Elite Club
From what was once a fun town to a comically sad and funny town.
