There's really no point anymore in voicing opinions over such matters. No one who matters cares. A white girl from out of state is considered an invader by the people who run this city now, they couldn't care less. They may voice some fickle empathy, but it's all lies.
It's over, there's no longer a debate. The bad old days are coming back. The creep has been slow, but now it is picking up. It is about to hit hyper-drive due to the new criminal justice laws.
You better find a way to defend yourselves. That's my advice. Good luck.
I wouldn't go that far, but this is among the most depressing stories I've heard in a terrible year. Once we know who the murders/accessories are, they all need to die. Their families too, at least the ones complicit/enabling of this criminal behavior.

the crime itself, very...disturbing. sickening. I wish Tess had watched "the news" on a daily basis...(and their parents [in virginia] too <~~~~ if they did watch the newYawkNews prior to their 'school' decision, maybe they would of have had 2nd thoughts about sending their daughter to school in "that area") and Tess....so naïve about jogging alone at night in a park in da bronx/harlem. . ...and this 13 yr old "kid," i disagree with "they're going to throw the book at him." MAYBE. this is a 13 yr old with severe mental problems and parentless. he's only 13, eventually they will let him out [and he will kill again]. there's not enough $$ to house the mentally deranged for life. the powers that be - they prefer sending 400 million dollars to other countries for military aid (..and that goes for italy too) -- we need that $$$ here to build more mental institutions for the 'edgar garcias and his 13 yr old-parentless murderer."
