Try switching to New Jersey Manufacturers. https://www.njm.com/ I've been with them a few years, because Liberty Mutual's premiums reached the "insane" level. I've been very happy with them. I just paid my 2024 bill, and it was almost exactly the same as my 2023 bill. I also switched my homeowner's insurance to them, for the same reason.

I dumped USAA a couple of months ago for NJM. I should have done it sooner.
Social Security got a 3% raise. They are here to help ain't they?
and 8.7% the year before. Inflation (the rate at which prices are rising, not the actual prices, has gone down. It like me saying "I am gaining weight at a slower pace so I must be getting skinnier") probably a big part of the insurance increases. Catalytic converters is another part. Large number of uninsured is another part. And lower car supplying driving up replacement costs (I THINK inflation included the MSRP of cars, not the actual cost. People are still paying over MSRP for popular cars) is surely yet another part. No need to shop around, they are all going up. Just wait until you get your home owners insurance increases.
Wouldn't be surprised insurance rates going up even more as people start defaulting on their car loans. The market for "striker cars" has exploded overnight. People are upside down on their loans sell their cars for significantly under value without a title, then report the cars stolen.
I just switched to NJM and saved $700 for the next year for the same coverage. I love the one year policies over 6 months! And roadside assistance is included (granted a limit of $75, but still!).

Additionally, you can look forward to a rebate if NJM experienced a good year in terms of their overall claims. They used to send a check, but now they simply credit that rebate toward your premium for the ensuing year. These rebates are not a sure thing, but I do receive one almost every year from NJM.
All of this is possible because NJM is a mutual insurance company. The official name for their rebates is "Special Dividend".
