Just 100 miles away, in Charleston, a dynasty has been formed with the South Carolina Stingrays hockey team.
They are in the Kelly Cup finals, and they are playing the Alaska Aces at the North Charleston Coliseum tomorrow night at 7:05.
Myrtle Beach was supposed to get the Thunderboltz, but with all the red-tape over the arena, that might not happen for a while.
Please support our local state team, the Stingrays, as they have a dedicated fan base, and we are the only hockey team left in the entire Southeast playing.
Haha, I use to live in Anchorage when I was stationed there back in the mid-90's in the air force. I use to go to the Sullivan Arena all the time to watch the Anchorage Aces, not a bad minor league team, plus there were some good fights too.
I heard we could go to Florence or Columbia and watch hockey.
Is this true? We just moved to Shaw AFB
Thanks
