2500 sq ft single story, $75 winter months, because most of the day heat or A/C is not on, no need for it. My highest summer bill was $225, only one month.

Not that it's a big deal, but every house we've previously looked at in Horry County is serviced by Horry Electric and according to Horry Electric's site: Horry Electric Cooperative, Inc., primarily serves on the western side of the Intracoastal Waterway. And their map on the link below shows their service area. I also found this quote in another site: "A general rule of thumb is that Santee Cooper operates within the Myrtle Beach city limits and Horry Electric serves the county and other municipalities."

But, I admit, my experience is limited.

I don't know where the dividing lines are but we live about 1/2 mile from the Conway Med Ctr and we have Santee Cooper. I wish it was Horry Electric because you will receive capital credits since it is a coop. I am still getting checks from NOVEC in VA. Granted they are for small amounts but still getting them.

I guess you can check the companies websites for their service area.
